Take 3 tablespoons of cornflour in a small bowl and add2-3 tablespoons of water, mix well to form a thin paste-like consistency.

Shallow Frying the Sesame Toast

  • Using a knife or a mould, cut the bread slices into rectangles, triangles, or even circles.

  • On the bread slice, spread the cornflour slurry evenly.

  • Next, spread the vegetable filling over it.

  • Again spread the cornflour slurry over the filling.

  • Gently press using a spatula or spoon to ensure that the mixture sticks to the bread.

  • Now, generously sprinkle some sesame seeds over the paste. Again, press gently to ensure that they stick to the mix.

  • In a large pan, heat around 100 ml Ambuja Gold Refined Soyabean Oil.

  • Once the oil is sufficiently hot, slide down a prepared bread slice such that the vegetable filling is facing the base of the pan.

  • Let it cook over a medium flame until it starts browning.

  • Then, turn the slice over and cook the other side.

  • Flip the toast as required to ensure even cooking on both sides. Make sure both sides are crisp for the perfect taste.

  • Next, take out the bread on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
